HansaWorld Partner Conference in Istanbul receives praises

ISTANBUL, June 14, 2010 - The latest HansaWorld Partner Conference took place in sunny Istanbul, Turkey. Holiday Inn Hotel, located in the heart of busy central Istanbul briefly became not only a home, but also a place of business for almost 20 participants representing 12 countries. What distinguished this particular event from the ones HansaWorld had conducted before, is that this time SmartCamp was being held in parallel with the Partner Conference. This allowed for a dual prong approach that tackled both sales and technical aspects of the conference.

SmartCamp is an extensive 4-day product training technical conference. The curriculum for this event included many interesting topics such as: Business Communicator Implementation, Database Optimization, KPI and KFR Setup, Back Up Options and few others. The courses were presented by HansaWorld’s International Consultant Kaido Schmidt. At the end, Kaido held a Q&A session which is always popular among the participants.

Across the hall, Karl Bohlin, HansaWorld Managing Director and Brendan Peo, General Manager of HansaWorld provided sales and marketing training to the group. Many topics were covered throughout the course of 4 days and many new and interesting trends and product details were unveiled by Karl and Brendan. While Karl explained the current state of ERP market and presented the new HansaWorld vision to partners, Brendan provided everyone with the latest sales and marketing know-how. Few new features of Enterprise and Books were also shown to those outside of the HansaWorld team for the very first time. Among them were HTML e-mail, Web Client, iPad and iPod mobility solutions and a few others. At the end, partners were given the opportunity for a Q&A session.

Each day was ended with a group dinner and various after-dinner social activities. On one of the evenings, HansaWorld organized a boat dinner cruise through the Bosphorus Strait. HansaWorld and its partners also joined each other in watching the opening ceremony of the 2010 World Cup and routed together for the South African team in the event opener.

Immo Bohm of Afresh Consult from Namibia was pleased with the information he had been provided over the course of 4 days and had the following to say, “All of the new information we heard from Karl and the rest of the HansaWorld team will allow us to prepare better for the upcoming features of the HansaWorld products. Knowing the planned marketing and sales strategies is also great. We all know how flexible HansaWorld products are, but here we get to really learn and understand that HansaWorld marketing and sales methodology is also very versatile and dynamic. They provide us with comprehensive industry trends analysis from their perspective and further explain how it will be addressed in the upcoming product, sales and marketing strategies.”

Martin Barbo of HVS from Slovenia, who has previously attended three Partner Conferences added, “Every time we come to these events, we learn so much and this time around its not just sales related. Having SmartCamp being held at the same time allows me to look at the agenda and pick my own trainings to attend.” Martin continued, “I think it is great for all of the participants to learn about each other, our methods and our strategies. HansaWorld promotes a healthy non-competing environment among its partners and I really think that it is working. Being able to learn from each other is great. Knowledge sharing to its fullest potential.”

When asked if she would recommend other partners to attend HansaWorld hosted conference, Pam Chandi of Matrix Business Solutions from Kenya exclaimed, “Absolutely,” and then elaborated further, “They are missing out by not coming to these events. This is a very big opportunity to meet not only other partners but also the diverse HansaWorld team. This is my second partner conference and I can clearly see the positive progress of those partners I met last time. With each of these events, the participants gain more and more of the three big C’s: Contacts, Competence and Confidence.”

For some of the participants this was their first HansaWorld event. Leow Chee Kong from ObTech Global, Malaysia was one of them. He stated, ”I am extremely pleased to have attended the HansaWorld Partner Conference in Istanbul. I’ve learned many new and exciting developments about HansaWorld products. The event was well organized and gave a fresh and unique perspective with many personal touches and participation from all invited delegates. Not only did we have some serious insights and discussion during conference hours; we had many equally important and relevant sharing sessions after conference hours as well, together with partners from all around the world. A must attend event and looking forward to the next HansaWorld Partner Conference!”
